Observance of the International Day of Older Persons by Anugraha
In order to promote UN principles of “Advancing Health & Well being into Old age & Ensuring quality of life- Active Ageing”, Anugraha pioneered the Celebration of IDOP on a grand scale in Delhi. The International Day of Older Persons has been observed by Anugraha on October 1st since 2004. IDOP is commemorated each October to raise awareness about the challenges & issues concerning senior citizens. UN idea of 'A society for all' was interpreted as a society in which "every individual, each with rights and responsibilities, has an active role to play".The International Day of Older Persons ( October 1st) has been observed by Anugraha in collaboration with NISD, MSJE since 2004.
