From despair to hope- the case of Indra Ben
Indra ben, an 80-year-old widow, lives in the village Bhesan, dist. Surat. She is blind and had to beg for about 8 hours a day to make her living. Being sick and frail, often she was unable to go out for begging and therefore had to starve. Now she is a recipient of Anugraha’s Annapurna Scheme (monthly food and health support) and is able to live with dignity.
